Forget Regret ~ Roy Hargrove’s RH Factor featuring Stephanie McKay

“Your sugar, your fear
your touch, your hair
your voice, your whisper
your moan, your prayer
your hair, your step
your spin, your care
your voice, your heat, your light
your stare….

I don’t want to be free, if it means that I’ll be
without you, baby
without you, baby
I just want you to see, how much you mean to me
I really love you”

Tell me that ain’t just….tasty.

George Zimmerman's 911 Call Released.

rustyredenbacher:

Choice quotes from George Zimmerman, child murderer.

“This guy looks like he’s up to no good, or he’s on drugs or something,”

“He’s just staring, looking at all the houses. Now he’s coming toward me. He’s got his hand in his waistband. Something’s wrong with him.”

“These assholes…they always get away.” (…sounds like someone was ready to play Dirty Harry.) “Shit, he’s running.”

“Are you following him?” “Yeah…” “OK, we don’t need you to do that…”

…and he did it anyway…

He was hunting.

If you wanna hear another 911 call where you can clearly hear a kid pleading for his life, then a gunshot, and then no more pleading, here it is. . I must warn you; it’s harrowing.

Then sign this petition to have George Zimmerman, the man you heard directly disobey the orders of police officers to stay away from the kid and in the second call, murder the very person he was told to stay away from, prosecuted.

Petition to have George Zimmerman prosecuted for the murder of Trayvon Martin.

Sign that, please. It’s about justice.

Prosecute the killer of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin

rustyredenbacher:

wtfwhiteprivilege:

Why This Is Important

On February 26, our son Trayvon Martin was shot and killed as he walked to a family member’s home from a convenience store where he had just bought some candy. He was only 17 years-old.

Trayvon’s killer, George Zimmerman, admitted to police that he shot Trayvon in the chest. Zimmerman, the community’s self appointed “neighborhood watch leader,” called the police to report a suspicious person when he saw Travyon, a young black man, walking from the store. But Zimmerman still hasn’t been charged for murdering our son.

Trayvon was our hero. At the age 9, Trayvon pulled his father from a burning kitchen, saving his life. He loved sports and horseback riding. At only 17 he had a bright future ahead of him with dreams of attending college and becoming an aviation mechanic. Now that’s all gone.

When Zimmerman reported Trayvon to the police, they told him not to confront him. But he did anyway. All we know about what happened next is that our 17 year-old son, who was completely unarmed, was shot and killed.

It’s been nearly two weeks and the Sanford Police have refused to arrest George Zimmerman. In their public statements, they even go so far as to stand up for the killer - saying he’s “a college grad” who took a class in criminal justice.

Please join us in calling on Norman Wolfinger, Florida’s 18th District State’s Attorney, to investigate my son’s murder and prosecute George Zimmerman for the shooting and killing of Trayvon Martin.

Soultry Entertainment: Always Give The People Your Best…..

A little more than 2 years ago, I decided to gon’ & pursue my passion for music by officially hittin’ the stage and writing music. No more karaoke & shower singing for me (well…that’s not true, I still do both…lol)! It’s been an amazing journey; I’ve had the opportunity to work with really good musicians and artists.

One thing you should know about me: once I get my mind on something, I give it 100%! I’ve established Soultry Entertainment, my 2-sided approach to music.

Side One is live music. My band “SOULTRY ft Karen Beard”, performs locally & regionally singing cover tunes of some of you favorite R & B, Blues & jazz classics and forgotten gems. SOULTRY is a collaborative project. I have assemble a team of musicians on the ready to play depending on the gig. If it’s a blues set, my strongest blues musician work. If it’s jazz, we take the strongest jazz folk. You get the picture. My theory: Always give the people your BEST. Everybody wins. We’ve played some awesome venues and our last show was SRO.

Side Two, SoultryEnt is the “behind the scenes” songwriting, composing and arranging. “Real.Soulful.Music.” is the simple company concept and it tells you everything you need to know about what we do!

In fact, this month, SoultryEnt helped create The Soul Rising Collective, comprised of RokkMass Entertainment, The Foundation and SoultryEnt. This Collective, which includes, producers, arrangers, composers, song-writers, vocalists, DJ’s and more, will serve as a musical “one stop shop” for artists and musicians looking to make some damn good music! Again, my theory: Always give the people your best.

Keep your eye out for us…..I’ll be sure to get more info out…SOON.
